Watching Obsession & Squirrels

  Happy Pride Month!!! Here's a reminder that all queer discourse is fake. Instead, close your computer and talk to real people. Or at least do my strategy of muting every single sexuality and label and whatnot on Twitter and scrolling away really fast if I see even a bit of discourse.

  Anyways, I already added it to my media page, but I watched Obsession!! I don't really watch movies that often but I was seeing people talk about the movie online and I thought I would find it interesting. I guess mild spoilers for Obsession but I'll just say I saw discourse about the 'feminism' of this movie and whether people with BPD are allowed to relate to 'Nikki'. And I wanted to see If I had a take as a fellow feminist and BPD haver.
  My Take Is: I wouldn't say this is a feminist movie but it is about misogyny and rape culture and shitting on incels. And I think you can relate to 'Nikki' if you have BPD, but obviously, that is not what the intention of the director was. But I think you can make a movie what you want it to be.

  Anyways, my first watch of this was like a surprisingly steady and high quality video I found online that was definitely taken on a tripod. But I really wanted to watch it with my partner. I am someone that jumps at literally anything and they are someone who doesn't jump at anything. SO I was really curious to see their reaction.

  I was a bit worried I wouldn't be scared anymore, and well I think most of my fear was replaced with second hand embarrassment but I did still jump at every jumpscare despite knowing it was gonna happen. Now what was surprising, was my partner didn't jump at any jumpscare but WAS scared. It was really funny. I'm sure we looked like this.
  I'd say the second watch was much sadder than the first one... But it was very enjoyable. I was smiling throughout the whole movie. I feel like my partner and I looked insane during the car scene (iykyk) because apparently they were also grinning during it because they predicted it...

  ALSO unrelated but my left shoe literally fell apart?? Into three different pieces??? It was very embarrassing and I had to walk back to the car with only one shoe on.
  Lastly, I've been feeding these squirrels recently. They are super cute. I love them.

  First we have this red one. She is very pretty but apparently bit someone. Here is a gif of her frolicking around before she decided to chase another squirrel nearby.
  Next we have this one with a white snout. She is very fat and likes to follow you around and beg.
